A very big THANK YOU, Erin K., a 17-year-old, Andrew High School junior from Tinley Park, who brought in this very generous donation of handmade blankets, along with new books, toys, hygiene items, game system w/ games, and ride share gift cards! Especially meaningful is that Erin saves a percentage of her after-school job earnings to purchase the donated items, after personally researching organizations and causes she wants to support.

Providing hope, healing and justice for abused children.
关于我们
The only agency of its kind in Will County, the Will County Children's Advocacy Center is a hybrid government/private 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow to provide hope, healing and justice for children (and non-offending family members) who have endured physical and sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, child pornography, neglect, and exposure to violence. The Will County Children's Advocacy Center is fully accredited by the National Children’s Alliance and is a proud United Way of Will County partner agency that serves 700+ new children, annually. Multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) that include prosecutors, law enforcement detectives, DCFS investigators, forensic interviewers, family advocates, medical professionals, and trauma-focused therapists work together in a child-friendly facility, to reduce trauma and identify resources, so that children and families may begin the healing process. Services provided: * Forensic Interviews * Advocacy Services * Trauma-Informed Mental Health Therapy * Medical Exams (in collaboration with Edward Hospital Care Center) * Child Pornography & Exploitation Victim Services * Paws-4-Kids Canine Advocates In 1999, FRIENDS OF THE WILL COUNTY CAC - a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization was created to accept donations from caring and generous individuals, businesses, and organizations. We rely on the generosity of private and public grants, as well as donations from individuals, organizations and corporations and our annual MEN WHO COOK fundraiser to provide our important programs and services.

As Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow left a meeting about potential expansion of Will County State's Attorney - Children's Advocacy Center ‘s program services with Silver Cross Hospital President/CEO Michael Mutterer (who also serves as a member of the Will County CAC’s Board of Directors) he was greeted by their Nutrition Services Manager Brad Davis, who told Glasgow how eager his department is to once again participate in our annual MEN WHO COOK fundraiser. ?? We are truly grateful for Silver Cross Hospital’s long-time support and involvement — and LOVE the delicious delicacies they whip up and serve at it every year! Mark your calendar for this year’s MEN WHO COOK event on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

This morning, Billie Larkin - founding director of the McLean County Illinois CAC for 12 years and retired executive director of the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Illinois for 11 years, and Mark Parr - immediate past executive director of North & Northwest County CAC in Hoffman Estates, facilitated a strategic planning session with our Will County CAC employees. The forward-thinking session focused on what and where they see as “needs” in service delivery, training, and the general well-being of the organization. Their 12-15 identified goals will move to the CAC Board of Directors for their input and planning.

Yesterday, Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow and several of our employees, welcomed members of 100+ Women Who Care of Will County — for the check presentation of their collective donation to support the Will County Children’s Advocacy Center! Because of their generosity, and a matching grant from Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, their donation of $8,850 will go to our programs providing hope, healing and justice for Will County children, ages 3-17, who have endured severe physical abuse, sexual abuse, exploitation, neglect, & exposure to violence. ??
