This year, ROCO Winery’s sparkling wine claimed the #1 position on Wine Enthusiast’s list—the first time an Oregon wine has achieved this distinction. “2024 has been an absolute dream for winemakers,” said Anna Matzinger, winemaker at Matzinger Davies Wine Company. “We’ve had highs in the low to mid-70s°F and mostly sunny skies for weeks now, which has allowed us to be proactive rather than reactive in our decision-making. The idea is to celebrate wine's communal and convivial aspects, focusing on the importance of personal connections in a fast-paced world. Whether at home, in restaurants, or at outdoor events, Come Over October aims to foster meaningful conversations and experiences with wine as the shared element. In addition to providing resources to media, trade and consumers, our organization also provides marketing support to benefit our members and help them thrive. Last week we hosted our first-ever Marketing Boot Camp lead by Julie Dalrymple on our team. We look forward to making this an annual offering to our members.
