Over the weekend we were pleased to celebrate Rosario’s achievement with the opening of her new child care home.

We are pleased to announce the latest development in support of our "4 Pillars" of work: our first grant in support of Early Childhood Education and Care programs. The challenges of accessible and affordable child care "deserts" are a costly burden to working-class families in the Willamette Valley, where only a fraction of the necessary services are available— licensed programs currently serve just 1 in 8 infants and toddlers, and only 1 in 4 preschoolers. Our collaboration with the Capaces Leadership Institute has successfully facilitated a cohort of graduates through the Primeros Pasos Consortium to become licensed to operate family child care homes in their communities. We're excited to share the stories of the Primeros Pasos graduates' professional growth, and congratulate them on their new business and continued educational pursuits. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of all who contribute to the vibrancy of the This year marked a significant milestone for us with the launch of the First Leaf Initiative, an ambitious campaign aiming to raise $2 million to support transformative projects that directly benefit our community. Through targeted initiatives in housing, healthcare, education, and professional development, we can contribute to a thriving community.To date, we have raised over $1.3 million, thanks to the generous contributions of many individuals and wine industry leaders, as well as securing support from local funding organizations like the M.J.
