This past Friday we brought together our entire team for a company-wide training day at Sawmill Creek Resort. The day consisted of HR Training led by Danialle at ConnectedHR, and First Aid/CPR Training by the City of Huron Fire Department. As our industry continues to evolve daily, we feel that it is crucial we keep our team up to date with the policies that keep them protected. Thank you Sawmill Creek Resort for being an amazing host, and putting together two great meals for our team. Additionally, ConnectedHR and the City of Huron Fire Department are both exceptional to work with, and presented very thorough, informational presentations to our company. The day couldn’t have run as smooth without them!?

The next employee we would love to spotlight this week is Julie Carney! Julie is our service dispatcher for Wilkes Plumbing & Heating. She has been with us for 3 years now, and we appreciated everything she brings to our company! When asked what the favorite part of her job is, she stated “I love to interact with people!” She has also “...enjoyed meeting new people & situations every day.” In Julie’s spare time she loves to spend time with her family! The picture below shows Julie with her husband, Chase, and two boys, Nash and Hayes.

Happy Administrative Professionals' Day! ?? Today cannot go by without thanking our admin staff for all they do to support operations every week! From the endless amount of paperwork, emails, and phone calls -- their dedication and hard work does not go by unnoticed, and we wouldn't run as smoothly without them!

The next employee we would love to spotlight is Jared Matso! Jared is our service manager for both Wilkes Plumbing & Heating, and DeLuca Plumbing! He has been with us for 6 years now, and we appreciated everything he brings to our company! When asked what the favorite part of his job is, he stated “Providing the best outcome for our customers.” He has also enjoyed the “camaraderie and teamwork” that the employees create. In Jared’s spare time he loves to spend time with his family and friends! Thank you for your hard work Jared!

We decided it is time to start highlighting our amazing employees and all they do for our company! First up is our AR Administrative Assistant, Mary Boos! Mary was a long time employee of DeLuca plumbing, and came along when Wilkes acquired them in November of 2021. In all, she has a combined 27 years! When asked what her favorite part of the job is, her response was “I’ve always found it rewarding to be part of a team that helps homeowners and businesses. We deal with plumbing and HVAC emergencies, renovation, and new construction projects, and all routine maintenance services.” Mary also stated that, “Customer service is rewarding, helping people to solve problems is what we do on a daily basis. We have dedicated technicians who take pride in their mechanical trade abilities, always great to see the crews – very dedicated and hardworking individuals.” In Mary’s spare time she enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, playing piano, listening to music, and recently she has been learning to operate a small watercraft! “So many fun things to do with spare time!!!” Mary is a very valuable asset to our administrative team! This past week two of our owners traveled to Orlando, Florida to take part in MCAA’s Annual Conference. The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) held a beautiful week long educational event where Sam Jeremay and Sarah Drake had the opportunity to network with other companies in our industry from across the United States. Our current President and Vice President of Administration, along with our past president, Glen Ginesi, were all able to take part in various educational workshops and exhibits to learn how to navigate the current struggles of the industry.
