As Fall classes began last week at Saint Joseph's University, students and faculty may have noticed improvements along Lapsley Lane. Wilkinson Design is pleased to have worked with SJU leadership and Mayfield Site Contractors, Inc. to renovated this beautiful area of campus in time for the Fall 2024 semester. We hope the SJU community enjoys the newly repaved street, new and improved sidewalks, curbing, ADA ramps, and upgraded safety features, such as bollards, fencing, signage and roadway striping. The Elmwood Park Zoo project is well under way, with construction of the new animal hospital and welcome center coming to a close! Our team is pleased to be a part of this extensive renovation and excited to watch our designs come to life!

This week’s leadership spotlight is Principal Engineer Joshua Castillo, PE. Josh has over 20 years of experience in the civil engineering and construction management services industries. His broad skillsets bridge gaps between the planning, design, permitting and construction processes through knowledge of the industry and continued education in times of changing environments. Over his career he has been directly responsible for the planning, engineering, and managing of a diverse range of projects from residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional LD projects to environmentally focused waterway restoration, dredging and land recycling processes in PA and New Jersey. Josh is committed to continued education in our ever-advancing industry.
