Part of the Biden Administration’s push to enhance U.S. cybersecurity capabilities has focused on imposing new requirements on government contractors. The 2023 National Cybersecurity Strategy suggested, for example, that “[c]ontracting requirements for vendors that sell to the federal government have been an effective tool for improving cybersecurity.” Efforts to add new mandates for government contractors continued at pace over the past year, including on secure software development and cyber incident reporting. https://lnkd.in/ecSck6Fd #Cybersecurity #GovCon

I provide perspectives on the fentanyl crisis caused by China in this comprehensive and thoughtful article. Thank you, Brian Spegele at The Wall Street Journal, for the in-depth look at potential actions President Trump could take to strike back against China's exports of illicit fentanyl to the United States. China's actions are killing 75,000 to 100,000 Americans each year. This is 100 times more than the victims of 911. The U.S. economic impact is $1 trillion annually and 5% of U.S. GDP. America is outraged. https://lnkd.in/eGp8BX3u Andrea Thomas Nova Daly Tatiana Sainati Rebecca Fiebig Krystal Swendsboe Christina Lucas Matt Lapin #China #Trump #Vance #fentanyl #USTR #trade #exports #Section301 #tariffs #facingfentanyl #tariffs

While this November’s election is over, many organizations remain politically active in between the general election and the time that newly elected and re-elected officials take office. In fact, many individuals and organizations will donate to inaugural events and transition teams during this period and contribute toward campaign debt retirement. Each of these options presents a variety of compliance risks at the federal, state, and local levels, but proper knowledge and due diligence will reduce these risks. D. Anyone administering a pharmacy benefit program today knows that moving to a new model of service delivery seems all the rage. Deconstructing and reconstructing a system that is not providing the level of drug discounts, rebates, and operational efficiency for which health plans and plan sponsors (plans) believe they have contracted is a constant source of frustration – not unlike that of an aching tooth whose pain is managed but never eradicated. So, the question that reverberates is whether your plan should remain as is, embrace incremental change, or completely jettison the status quo. Dorthula (Dot) Powell-Woodson Brooke M.
