We staff excellent locum tenens and permanent placement healthcare providers in rural and remote healthcare facilities.
关于我们
Wilderness Medical Staffing is a locally owned and operated locum tenens corporation that has the experience and innovation to solve any staffing need. We are completely familiar with the areas that we send practitioners to because we have worked and lived in many of these areas ourselves. Because of this, we understand the unique difficulties that rural areas have in obtaining and keeping quality medical providers. We are able to thoroughly orient our practitioners to the particular site where they will be placed, which means they will be able to hit the ground running. Overall, we offer our clinic sites top-quality health care providers and our providers have the chance to live life adventurously, while feeling the satisfaction of truly making a difference in the health of rural communities.

When Bob T., PA, took an assignment with Wilderness Medical Staffing in rural Alaska, he expected to treat people—not a dog. But when a local woman called asking for help, he didn’t hesitate. Her elderly husband's dog had been in a fight, suffering a severe wound—8 inches deep and 6 inches wide. With the nearest veterinarian 1,200 air miles away in Anchorage, there was no other option. If Bob didn’t step in, the dog wouldn’t have survived. Knowing the injury required thorough wound care and antibiotics, Bob improvised and treated the dog himself. For two weeks, after finishing his clinic duties, he stopped by their home each evening to clean, pack, and monitor the wound—until the dog finally pulled through. In the process, he became more than just the village’s medical provider—he truly became part of the community. ?? This is what sets our contracted locum providers apart. Anyone with medical training *could* have treated the dog. But Bob *would*.
