Wilderness Kids Alexandria

Calling all music and nature lovers! On September 21st Wilderness Kids Alexandria is hosting their annual Music Festival to raise funds to get teens out into nature! Come listen to local bands, eat from delicious food trucks, climb a rock wall and more. Proceeds will get under-resourced teens from under-served communities out climbing, biking, and camping!

Greetings to those out there with a passion for utilizing their management experience and other expertise to give back to the community. Wilderness Kids Alexandria is looking for a few good souls to join our Board of Directors and help guide our young organization in providing life-enriching experiences in nature to teens from under-resourced families and under-served communities in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities include attending quarterly board meetings, supporting the organization financially according to your ability, assisting the organization on one specific topic each year (from organizing a Music Festival to providing legal advice; from reviewing finances to guiding our risk management process; and so on). Preference is for board members from Alexandria, or the DMV; however, we are also open to the right candidates from across the country. Thanks! With your help, our organization will be secured in our ability to deliver on our mission for years to come - and that will give our students life-changing experiences!
