A message from WWA Board Member, Bill Cook. Our Warriors have given so much in life, we are calling you to give in support of them. The most important thing you can do is set up a recurring monthly donation in order to ensure that the impact of WWA continues. There are not enough of us out there to meet this great need of serving our Warriors, but we aim to impact as many lives as we can - but we need your support to do it. . . . #wwa #wildwarrioradventure #wildwarrioradv #veterans #resiliency #military #veteran #mentalhealth #spiritualhealth #purpose #nonprofit #support #army #navy #marines #airforce #spaceforce #coastguard #faith #hope #love #flyfishing #outdooradventures #outdoors #nature #healing #truth

Restoring hope in our Warriors through Outdoor Adventure
关于我们
Wild Warrior Adventure (WWA) exists to encourage those who have served in forward deployment, have risked their lives to defend our freedom and have sustained combat operational stress injuries. We serve them through providing outdoor retreat adventures in exceptional environments, away from the distractions of daily life, to find freedom from bondage, to build emotional and spiritual resiliency, and to lead healthy, God-centered lives. Wild Warrior Adventure partners with military service and other organizations such as Military Chaplain Services and Command and Veterans Administration staff, Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs, Soul Survivor Outdoors, and The Master’s Program to identify Combat Veterans with the greatest need and who would bene?t from the WWA experience. Fundraising and other income-generating e?orts’ provide the resources necessary for transport and funding of attendees to outdoor adventure locations where they will be fed, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It has been proven that fly fishing, great food and hospitality, the occasional glass of red wine and perhaps a cigar around the fire can create an environment where significant conversations take place. These intentional experiences and conversations lead to healing and freedom, and in turn, hope.

Bill Cook, one of the original founding Board Members of Wild Warrior Adventure, has returned to the board via a unanimous vote for another season of serving our Warriors. Bill recently retired from a 39-year career. His last role was as the Executive Vice President of Business Development for BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, where he spent 14 years leading the growth efforts for what became the largest independent SP in the United States during his tenure. Bill spends most of his time golfing, playing with grandkids, traveling, and helping start up businesses thrive. He also serves as an Alumni Board member for Crummer Graduate Business School in Winter Park where he frequently lectures on sales and marketing topics. Bill’s uncle was an Army sniper in WWII and was captured behind enemy lines in Germany. He nearly died in a POW camp and suffered with multiple injuries for the rest of his life. Hence, he has always admired the tremendous sacrifices made by our combat vets, and this inspired him to co-create WWA. Welcome back, Bill! We are so proud and honored to serve alongside you and call you a friend! . . . #wwa #wildwarrioradv #fyp #boardmembers #announcement #grateful #warriors #veterans #combatveterans #outdoors #healingoutdoors #faith #hope #love #flyfishing #adventure #tothejourneyahead

It is always a blessing to hear the continued impact of Wild Warrior Adventure in the lives of our participating Warriors. Here is a great one from one of our recipients, Chris S., a U.S. Army Veteran. Thank you, Chris! We are so proud of the work you are doing to continue to heal and grow by leaning on God daily. "Where to begin. I heard about The program from a friend of mine that went thru prior to me. I applied and was accepted to go. I really wasn’t to sure what the experience would be like; I knew it was faith based which honestly scared me a little bit. This program met me where I was at in life. I was in a huge hole it felt like. I had lost hope and sight in life. I was given the opportunity to share my story there and this was the first time I had ever done that or ever expected to share it. The group setting with the group of veterans we had truly blew me away on how supportive everyone was. There was no pushing or pulling you in one way or the other. It truly showed me that there was a group of brothers that truly cared. Wild Warrior truly planted a seed in my heart and continued to water it long after the program was over. I had the privilege to go on a second trip this last year and man all I can say is what a difference in even just myself. My story went from just another story to a testimony in the works. Because of the seeds these men have planted and helped water and pointed me in the right direction; and been there for me. The brotherhood from not just the connection in the military but listening to other men who battle the same things has truly helped save me. I have learned that God puts us in the right place at the right times. I’ve learned no matter how ugly your past is, God will use it for good." Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Chris S. The Healing Frequency of Fly Fishing ??? When the Bible tells us that "all things work together for good for those who love God..." I can't help but think that God is in every aspect of our lives, even the tools we use made by the hands of men. This is powerful as we continue to research the benefits of fly fishing for our Combat Veterans. Prepare to have your mind blown: Did you know that the natural frequency of a fly fishing rod’s oscillation during casting typically falls between 1.25 – 1.45 Hz? This range closely aligns with the Delta and Theta brainwave states, which are linked to deep relaxation, reduced anxiety, and meditative calm. For combat veterans who have faced the relentless stress of war, fly fishing isn’t just a sport—it’s a neuroscientific reset. The rhythmic motion of casting, the soft hum of the line slicing through the air, and the subtle vibrations through the rod all work together to activate the body’s parasympathetic nervous system, helping to lower cortisol levels and bring a sense of peace. At Wild Warrior Adventure, we believe in harnessing the power of God's creation and science to help warriors heal. When a veteran ventures onto the river, it’s more than fishing—it’s a way to quiet the noise of trauma and find balance again. If you’ve experienced the therapeutic effects of fly fishing, share your story in the comments! Let’s explore how the rhythm of the river can help more veterans find peace. #WildWarriorAdventure #wwa #PTSD #allthingsgood #veterans #warriors #military #faith #hope #love #FlyFishingTherapy #HealingThroughNature #CombatVeteranSupport #MentalHealthAwareness #fyp

At Wild Warrior Adventure, we serve those who have given so much for our freedom—our combat veterans. The hard truth? Every day, we lose an average of 22 veterans to suicide. The mental, emotional, and spiritual battles don’t end when the war does. Yet too many of our warriors are left to fight these battles alone. Faith-based combat veteran organizations like ours fill a critical gap that government programs often cannot address—providing community, hope, and healing for those struggling with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. But we can’t do it alone. Your financial support helps us offer life-changing adventures and peer support that renew a veteran’s sense of purpose. By donating, you’re not just funding an organization—you’re saving lives. Support Wild Warrior Adventure today, and join us in fighting for those who fought for us. ?? https://lnkd.in/gNwaTpXP #FaithInHealing #SupportOurHeroes #CombatVeterans #StopVeteranSuicide #VeteransMentalHealth #WildWarriorAdv #wwa #PTSDRecovery #DonateToSaveLives #FaithBasedSupport #VeteranWellness
