Congratulations to United Tool & Mold Inc. on a tremendous golf event last week to benefit the iWarriors program. iWarriors??assists severely injured Veterans of the Armed Forces by providing personalized tablets to aid in their return, recovery and reintegration. The outing raised $32,537 for these "Heroes from the American Mold," with most participants coming from the plastics industry. Wilbert's Easley, SC facility entered two teams and was also a hole sponsor. From Minnesota to the Carolinas, a well-earned Labor Day for our tremendous teams at Wilbert Plastics.

In June, our Easley, SC Community Involvement Committee chose Helping Hands Children's Home as our charitable organization for the month. Located in nearby Clemson, Helping Hands provides abused and/or neglected teenage boys with a safe place to live, as well as nutritional food, clothing, access to education, health care and counseling. The Shelter can care for up to 32 boys at a time and has impacted over 8,550 children since opening its doors in 1984. Our thanks to all who participated. More than $250 in requested supplies, cleaning products and gift cards were raised within our facility. The Pickens (SC) County Humane Society was founded in 1972 to educate, to serve as a refuge, to find happy homes for unwanted pets and to eliminate animal suffering. Last month, our Easley SC facility collected and donated $450 in much-needed items for this important organization. For?a unique team-building project, the Paint crew at Wilbert's Easley, SC facility accepted the challenge of refurbishing a company-owned,?15-year-old Toyota Sienna. The minivan was pressure-washed, then hand-washed, sanded, taped, painted and clear-coated. The headlights were refinished, new wheel covers installed and branding emblems stripped and painted. Voilà … good as new! Congratulations to our Wilbert paint team on a job well done!?? #PlasticsManufacturing #TeamBuilding #SCManufacturing
