关于我们
Our organization is dedicated to the advancement of all women working in the film, television, multi-media, web and video game industries in Colorado. Through educational panels, networking events, a newsletter, contests and more, we hope to connect, empower, educate and support all female media makers and help to elevate the Colorado media industry overall. Our events are open to everyone. Membership in our organization is open to anyone who identifies as a woman who works in media in the state of Colorado and men in Colorado who support the advancement of women as media makers. We received 501c3 status in March of 2017, and are now an official chapter of Women in Film and Television International (WIFTI), the parent organization for all Women in Film chapters, which connects our members with even more resources to advance their careers in the industry. WIFMCO Mission Statement: Women in Film and Media Colorado is an all-volunteer non-profit organization committed to uniting, educating, and empowering women media makers and their community by providing resources, networking and educational programs, and by actively pursuing equitable treatment and opportunities for women.

It's time for another table read! Table reads are a great opportunity to get a feel for how your writing will work once it's in real mouths and off a page. They offer a human element you just can't replicate in your own head when editing and provide new insights into how an actor might interpret your work. Join us for a 2 hour session where we will read up to 20 pages of your script and then receive in depth feedback. For those who are looking for motivation to finish or edit a script you'll get more than just kind words - WIFMCO has multiple upcoming contests to submit to, and this will be the perfect opportunity to polish your writing in preparation! This year we'll host a student film contest, a screenplay contest, and are looking to revive our finishing fund. Please look to these table reads as a chance to refine your work and get it made! We'll see you there. If you'd like written, detailed feedback and guaranteed time slotted into the 2 hour session please submit materials in advance to [email protected] in the form of PDFs or Google Links to be selected. You can submit an excerpt or full script (please note 1st 20 pages will be reviewed and the rest subject to time) - depending on number of advance submissions we may have as many as 3 featured creators.
