Widmer Roel hires Frisell as an Audit Associate Samuel Frisell has joined Widmer Roel, a local public accounting and business advisory firm. As an Audit Associate at Widmer Roel, Samuel provides audit and assurance services to state and local government entities. Samuel is a graduate from North Dakota State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in fraud investigation. What do you do in your free time? “I enjoy playing video games, spending time at the lake, some minor wood/metal working projects and karaoke.” Do you have any pets? “I have a Real-American-Good-Dog named Darla. Yes, she's named after the little rascals.” What do you enjoy the most about auditing so far? “I'm still new to the profession, so I'm just trying to learn everything I can as fast as I can. I guess that's what I enjoy most, learning something new.”

Widmer Roel hires Papon as an Audit Associate As an Audit Associate at Widmer Roel, Kolsen provides audit and assurance services to state and local governments. Kolsen is a graduate from Minnesota State University Moorhead where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. What do you do in your free time? “In my free time I like to go hiking, cross country skiing, running, and fishing. I like to watch sports and do occasional craft projects.” Do you have any pets? “My family has an energetic springer spaniel named Maple, but I don't have any pets myself.” What do you enjoy the most about auditing so far? “I really enjoy fieldwork and getting to work hands-on with the clients. The small government team is very awesome to work with and makes all the jobs fun to work on.”

Widmer Roel hires Mack as a Tax Associate As a Tax Associate at Widmer Roel, Tony provides tax and accounting services to a wide range of clients. Tony is a graduate from North Dakota State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is also currently enrolled at NDSU in the MBA program. What do you do in your free time? “I spend time with my family. I also enjoy watching sports and shooting pool.” Do you have any pets? “I have two dogs, Dallas and Laela, and three cats, Franki, Zoe, and Chad.” What aspects of public accounting do you find most rewarding? “I really enjoy the business side of it. I like learning how different businesses are setup and operated.”

Brady is a graduate from North Dakota State University where he earned a master’s degree in accountancy. He started with Widmer Roel as an intern in 2023. What do you do in your free time? “I love to golf and play basketball.” What do you enjoy the most about auditing? “I love how it is something different every day. I also enjoy working closely with my coworkers on jobs.”
