Fall is here and election season is in full swing! Go pick up the latest edition of the Baltimore Beat, which features what the youth we surveyed care about and want from elected officials. Wide Angle's design team members De'Shaun Fortune, Aleeia Townes, Liliana (Soorin) Kim, and Dan Flounders created the cover, featured graphics, and other design elements. Stay tuned for additional posts to learn more about their designs. This issue was produced in partnership with the Baltimore News Collaborative, which includes Baltimore Banner, Baltimore Beat, Maryland Public Television, Morgan State University, and WYPR, funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation.

ELC is proud to announce that we’re expanding our WRITING CHANGE initiative in partnership with poet, activist, & Estée Lauder Global Changemaker Amanda Gorman to support five additional organizations. Now with 10 non-profit organizations, WRITING CHANGE is advancing literacy as a pathway to equality, access, and social change across the U.S. As we honor International Day of the Girl tomorrow (Oct 11), we recognize the important work of these organizations and what’s possible when girls and gender-expansive youth have the tools, resources, and education needed to share their stories.
