The Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council had a lot to be thankful for at their November meeting! Members learned from three speakers about animal health. Wisconsin State Veterinarian Dr. Darlene Konkle gave an overview of DATCP's Division of Animal Health. Dr. Lauren Kisley also presented to members about aquaculture in Wisconsin. Dr. Yvonne Bellay and Chris Ondercin spoke about the Dog Breeder and Seller Program. “This holiday season, be sure to give thanks to the one in ten people who work in Wisconsin agriculture,” said Madison Wiese, a council member from Greenleaf. “We are looking forward to meeting again in December for an agricultural career panel.” #WAYC #WisconsinAgriculture #DATCP

Earlier this month, staff from DATCP’s Plant Industry Bureau attended the annual Wisconsin Honey Producers Association Convention in Onalaska.
