President MI WiCyS, MCWT Ed Woman of the Year, 2024! Author & Public Speaker on Cyber Security Education, Training, and Awareness. K-12 Cyber Security Education, and the Founder of the MCISSE CyberPatriot Program

2024 has been a year filled with remarkable achievements in the field of Cybersecurity, and I am thrilled to share some of the highlights with you. My unwavering passion lies in guiding more students toward the captivating career pathway of #Cybersecurity. Over the past two decades, our planted seeds are now bearing fruit. Former participants of our?#SummerCamps?and?#CyberPatriot?activities are now leading the charge in #cybersecurity?#careers. Rather than employing persuasive tactics, the industry and various organizations recognize our work, showering us with accolades and backing. Some notable recognitions include being honored as the 2024 Education Woman of the Year by #MCWT, featuring in the Top 5 Cybersecurity Books of the year by #SANS, participating in the Emerging Leader Program by the #AFA, and assuming the role of President of Michigan #WiCyS Affiliate. This success story is not solely mine; it is a collective effort fueled by the unwavering support of numerous associations like #CSA, #MCWT, #WiCys, #FORD, #DTE, and more. While I may be the face of this initiative, it truly takes a village to achieve such milestones. My heartfelt appeal to the cybersecurity community is to help us sustain and expand this program, not just for #Michigan but for the entire nation. We urge #cybersecurity companies to step forward, embrace these youth programs, contribute through donations, and encourage your employees to #volunteer. Let us work together to foster a culture shift and address the pressing need to balance innovation with security. Imagine the possibilities if we could redirect the trillions lost to cyber attacks towards constructive endeavors! Let's unite in this mission, standing side by side, showcasing our shared passion for a secure and innovative future. Join me on this journey, let's amplify your dedication and commitment for all to witness. #Cybersecurity #YouthEmpowerment #CommunitySupport Below please acknowledge from left to right: The Michigan AFA, our book illustrator Jacob Green and co-writer Ken Sigler, below: Juman Doleh-Alomary, Earl Duby and my co-panelist at FORD's Global kick-off for Cybersecurity month, Kristen Shymanovitz, Ashley M.
