Wichita Family Crisis Center's Hope Gala hosted at Wichita Marriott was impactful! Our venue was transformed to what felt more like an art gallery, with guests having an immersive experience into the lives of victims of domestic violence as they listened on headphones at each station. An orange jumpsuit represented the fate of their perpetrators. In addition to raising funds for victims of domestic violence through a wide variety of auction items, attendees enjoyed Chef Peter's tenderloin roulade with herb boursin cheese and cucumber with hummus and sun-dried tomato. ?? Thank you to all who attended to help make a difference for Wichita families in need!

Wichita Marriott is honored to host events that make a difference! The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Kansas hosts an annual fundraiser competition where visionaries, including community figures and students, raise funds for cancer research. Each year, a girl and boy with leukemia are chosen as the brave spokespeople of the year. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal curated by Chef Peter, an auction, and fun backdrops. Kids were visited by princesses and had caricatures drawn!

Wichita Marriott was proud to host Kansas Restaurant and Hospitality Association's ProStart competition on March 5! Kansas high school students competed in culinary and restaurant management projects, with many teams feeling the heat having had only one trial run to practice presentations due to weather and illnesses. Culinary students from 20 schools created a 3-course menu in advance with one hour to execute it. Plates were judged by seasoned chefs on menu, cost, taste, and presentation. Hospitality students created restaurant/food truck concepts and were judged on location, placement, marketing, and execution. It was an honor to host such bright creativity and get a taste for what the future of culinary and hospitality talent in Kansas will be!
