We're conducting a study on how institutions are using #ArtificialIntelligence (#AI) to support governance, operations, instruction, and learning; what policies and guidelines are in place; and what are the ongoing concerns for and benefits to its use. Judith Sebesta, Ph.D. is leading this research and seeking insights from a diverse range of participants at public and private four-year institutions and two-year #colleges across the US. The findings from this survey will be used to develop publications, posts, and #webinars highlighting recommendations and strategies for effectively adopting and #implementingAI on #campuses nationwide. The survey will be available from March 17 to April 7, 2025. Thank you for your time and insights. We sincerely appreciate your participation in this important research. The factors driving continued interest in #onlinelearning are manifold. Many #students and #faculty members are more comfortable now with #educationaltechnologies. And the flexibility and accelerated #learningopportunities that #onlineinstruction can afford have enticed #learners who are unable to commit to a four-year, in-person #collegeexperience. #Colleges see their own benefits. But doing online and doing online well are two very different things. The recent WCET cost and price of #distanceeducation report, authored by executive director, Van L. Davis, found that a majority of institutions surveyed said their #onlinecourses cost the same as, or more than, in-person courses across 21 different components of #coursedevelopment and delivery. Six components reported to be more expensive for online courses included technologies and software, instructional design, and accessibility.
