Fantastic recap of an incredible trip!?A big thank you to everyone who welcomed us—nothing beats the opportunity to strengthen relationships face-to-face with our customers and partners.
While relationships play a key role in any successful go-to-market effort, they are of paramount importance in the golf and club industry. While it's critical to have an industry-leading technology platform and a killer team to make it all work, there is no replacing time spent face-to-face with your customers and prospective partners. Following the Golf Inc Strategies Summit, Whoosh, Inc. CEO, Colin Read, and I trekked from Hilton Head to Philadelphia to Westchester to Long Island. We visited with 25 green-grass facilities as well as five indoor golf venues. We spent 20 hours together driving 750 miles, enjoying some of the best cheesesteaks, hot dogs and pizza on the east coast along the way. We were able to spend time with Jay Hass from AlleyCorp, one of our key investors. We were also able to see a number of our Whoosh team members, including Scott Peper, Jenn Burgess, Alana Untracht and Gregory Wingate, PGA. We were able to gather valuable feedback from our customers and within a week, even implemented some new features based on those discussions. We also had a chance to show off our technology to many clubs that will hopefully become customers for the 2025 golf season. An added bonus was being able to attend the Met Golf Writers Association dinner which honored Luke Donald and Seth Waugh, among others! Nice job by Brian Crowell as MC, and Jimmy Roberts and Eric Gleacher as speakers. I'm grateful to be part of a team that values relationships so highly and has the foresight to invest in these types of trips. The relationships we build and cement while on the road only strengthen the Whoosh community and will help us to keep driving the business forward in the years ahead. For everyone we spent time with while traveling, thanks for everything and we can't wait to see you again soon. PS - We were gone for 11 days so shout-out to Kate W. Read, Ph.D. and Alicea Starr for managing the kids and holding down the fort in our respective homes while we were gone!
