In 2025, let's put the fun back into marketing again with viral stunts like this ?? Let's put big smiles onto people's faces again. Let's surprise & delight. Let's use real people. Capture real reactions. Create real viral impact. No CGI. No AI BS. Let's have some fun. Let's get human again. Here is how whoisthebaldguy pulled it off: https://lnkd.in/eUCuK_fg 45M+ FB views on the OG upload: https://lnkd.in/eu9QMFpp The stunt won 2 The Clios. I conceptualized, directed, and edited this (in FCP7!). BTW, you have seen my other stunts. No seriously. The Telekinetic Coffee Shop. The Devil Baby in NYC. The girl from the Ring crawling out of a TV. Yep. I made those. And then some ?? whoisthebaldguy.com *mic drop* ??
This viral stunt for Universal Pictures' OUIJA did everything right: ? captured big & loud reactions. ? no half-ass execution. it went all in. ? practical effects + real people = real reactions. ? no AI bullsh*t. ? it had me as the director ?? It's what we do best whoisthebaldguy.
This viral social experiment asked one question: What would you do if you walked into a murder in progress? The reactions & interactions captured were raw, real, human. This was the one time I felt we pushed things to the limit. Our hidden camera stunts typically have a fictional, supernatural layer. This one did not. This one hit too close to home. It was too possible. It was too relatable to some. While the stunt was a viral marketing hit for the studio, it taught us an important & valuable lesson: don't surprise people with something scary that can actually happen IRL. Bring fiction & fantasy to life. And that's what we've done since.
5 facts you didn't know about this viral stunt for 20th Century Studios ?? ?? 1. It became the #1 most shared film ad of the year: https://lnkd.in/eBk9G-4U 2. It was created by Thinkmodo, the first viral video agency I co-founded in 2011. 3. It became a global news story during launch week ?? https://lnkd.in/ejTpFqkN 4. The Devil Baby was designed & engineered by CREATURE EFFECTS INC who won an Academy Award for its work on The Revenant two years later. 5. The original video was uploaded to a brand new YouTube channel with ZERO followers & ZERO association with the studio ?? https://lnkd.in/eXTFMmaB Bonus fact: I directed & edited the video. *mic drop*
Say hello to ?? iPad Head Girl ?? This viral stunt for Cosmopolitan had one big idea: get inside a woman's head by using Hearst's Cosmo For Guys. I directed and edited this video. BTS ?? https://lnkd.in/eG8MSxDU A little info about how we pulled this off: the actress could not see inside the iPad Head device. So we placed a small camera in the front of her purse and sent a live video feed to a pair of video goggles she wore inside the iPad Head. No AI BS. Real people. Real reactions. Real props. Real viral impact.
Devilishly good!

Yes please.
What if I made a TV show? Would you watch? Lemme know. My pitch is simple: I've been creating branded viral videos that have been watched & shared by millions around the globe. This year, I plan to create a TV show that will be watched & shared by millions about around the globe. Who wants it? This ?? is just a silly little sizzle. The real idea is...
In 2025, let's create magic in marketing with viral stunts like this ?? Let's transport people into different worlds. Let's create unforgettable experiences. Let's use children's imagination. Capture real emotions. With real people. Real props. Real sets. When I directed this stunt for Netflix's Slumberland, it was the only time I ever cried on set. I wasn't the only one. I saw some crew members wipe tears. Creating one-of-a-kind experiences like this using never-been-done-before executions only gives you one thing: truly memorable marketing. My LinkedIn TL is filled with glossy AI horse sh*t every day. It all looks the same. It's all missing the human touch. There are no emotions triggered. I do not care how impressive something looks if it doesn't make me feel something. Let's get human again with our marketing. Let's create magic. whoisthebaldguy does this pretty well.
