Troop 200 in Gallia County took an important step in preparedness by participating in a STOP THE BLEED? training led by our very own Molly Fulk. These young scouts and their leaders learned critical techniques that could one day save a life—including how to properly apply a tourniquet in a bleeding emergency. One troop leader shared that he has been on two wilderness trips where he saw firsthand the life-saving importance of a tourniquet. In remote areas, immediate medical intervention can make all the difference, and thanks to this training, Troop 200 is now better equipped to respond in an emergency. At Whitney/Strong, we believe that prepared communities are safer communities. By expanding STOP THE BLEED? to more groups like Troop 200, we’re empowering individuals with the knowledge and confidence to take action when it matters most.

While there has been a federal ban, this new law gives local law enforcement more power to get these dangerous devices off the streets.
