Our family farm focuses on regenerative land management, humane animal husbandry, and revitalizing our rural community.

关于我们

White Oak Pastures is a six generation family farm in the rural town of Bluffton, Georgia. We practice what we call radically traditional farming. Every day, we butcher meat from animals raised in a regenerative manner using humane animal management practices. This is no easy task, but it is our passion. To operate our vertically integrated, zero-waste model, it takes 165+ caring people working together to accomplish a common goal: taking care of our land, our livestock, and our rural community.

Will Harris' mother, Eloise Harris, loved to eat rabbit - in fact, she always called it "fence row candy!" We are grateful to have rabbit impact on our pastures and rabbit meat on our plates. If you are interested in learning more about rabbit production, we hope you'll consider attending our Intro to Pastured Rabbits & Homestead Processing workshop coming up on March 29th. You can get the details & purchase tickets on our website: https://lnkd.in/eZFqqvwN

In light of JBS's recent release on ceasing their commitment of deforestation, we thought we'd share our commitment to plant MORE trees. Will Harris has planted over 1,000 trees every year over the past decade at White Oak Pastures. Not all of them lived, but every year the ones that didn't are replaced. We were grateful to have some help from the @treesforgraziers team to train our staff!

  • Prior to WWII, the USA produced more lamb in our country than we could consume - we were an exporter of lamb. Today, we import over 80% of the lamb consumed. Beef imports grew 24% in 2024 as compared to 2023. Beef prices remain at record highs, while the cattle population remains at record lows. The United States of America is now importing more beef than we are exporting. We fear the same that is currently true for lamb imports/exports will soon be the reality for beef. Food Security should have the support and attention from both sides of the isle. If we cannot feed our people, what else can we do?

  • The saying "happier than a pig in the mud" was based on the life of these girls! Putting livestock back on the land is exactly the way things should work. The shade structures are retired, remodeled cotton module builders. We put a roof structure on top, so the shade can move when we rotate our hogs. They are heavy enough to sustain hurricane winds, but mobile enough to travel with the livestock. Happy National Pig Day from the pastures of Bluffton!

  • Ever wonder how our tallow products are made? Join our tallow artisan, Daijah, for an inside look at our process! We start with high-quality grassfed beef fat, which we render down in our on-farm commissary. This rich 'liquid gold' is an important part of our zero-waste production system and helps to nourish and hydrate your skin. Watch the full Day on the Farm video on YouTube and check out our website to shop the full collection of our tallow and body care products! ?? https://lnkd.in/e2UAuPQi

  • The worst deal that's ever been made? Trading cheap food for thriving ecosystems, human health and communities. Radical change isn't easy, but it's necessary to return back to a time where we can live in abundance. We have now seen the ugly underbelly of the reductionist approach, and many of us are demanding more. Together, with the Center for Agricultural Resilience (CFAR), we are teaching others how to break free from the industrial system. Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A.
