Things are wrapping up nicely at the Prince William County Animal Shelter Fit-out. While we waited for the roof to thaw out and clear (again!), we were able to concentrate on completing the installation of the kennel run cages. Now that the roof is clear, installation of the HVAC screen wall has begun.
We have been able to take advantage of this run of dry warm weather at our Woodbridge Seventh Day Adventist project. Groundworks and majority of grading are complete; and curb and gutter has been placed, all in an effort to get paved before winter weather does finally get here. We were also able to complete underslab rough-ins, foundations and slab work, and after a decade of work and patience by this church community, the first piece of vertical construction has been set as erection of the pre-engineered metal building structure has begins.
Work has started on the Prince William County Animal Services' Restored Space Fit-out project in Manassas, VA. This is the last shell space of their recently completed new facility being fitout to provide additional kennels for dog family groups (moms and puppies), livestock, etc.; a Visitor Space; and a Staff Work Room. The space will have the capability of being fully washed down which results in a lot of in-ground plumbing for drainage and water filtration system in a relatively small space.
Was honored to be part of the recent groundbreaking ceremony for Woodbridge Seventh Day Adventist's new church in Manassas, VA. This congregation started their journey over a decade ago but the project was put on hold after completing the majority of the site development. Their strong determination and faith over the years has the project back on track. We are excited to be part of the team, working again with Helbing Lipp Recny Architects, to bring this church's vision to a reality.
The Sanctuary Refresh project at Old Town Community Church in Alexandria, VA, was completed just in time for Easter services. Work included removing the existing stage area and replacing it with a new ADA compliant, simpler, open stage area; removing the existing carpeting and refinishing the original wood flooring; new carpeting to stairwells, upper level balcony seating areas and corridors, A/V and lighting upgrades. Great vision for invigorating the space by the Church and MTFA Architecture.
