Help us celebrate Benjamin Levin, W/A Associate! Formerly a fellow here at Whiteboard, Ben joined the team fresh off of a Fulbright grant, where he taught English in the Czech Republic. Prior to his Fulbright, he held various research positions—most notably partnering with Paul Tractenberg, founder of the Education Law Center, on a project centered around state education clauses and the legal side of education reform. Ben also supported Professor Roseann Liu in research for her ethnography Designed to Fail, which focused on racial inequities within school funding. Ben brings a passion for education equity and an understanding of the intersectionality between policy and research in effective advocacy. He supports the advocacy and research teams in K-12 initiatives and assists in the weekly production of the What We’re Reading newsletter. Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in Government and Education Studies from Wesleyan University. He is based in Washington, D.C. and enjoys playing tennis, singing by the piano, coaching collegiate mock trial, and searching for the best-flavored latte in town.
