Thank you to the Dover Professional Firefighters and Cochecho Country Club for hosting a great day to benefit the Dover Fire Toy Bank, which sadly lost this year's toys after a water line break downtown in August. The mill building that housed the toy bank flooded, ruining the entire supply of gifts for children in need this holiday season. The Dover Fire Toy Bank, operated by the Dover Firefighters Charitable Association, has assisted local families for over 40 years, typically more than 100 families annually. The Dover Fire Toy Bank is accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for children, newborn to age 12. Donations can be dropped off at any of Dover's three fire stations or mailed to: DPFFA, PO Box 1004, Dover, NH 03821. For more information, contact the Toy Bank Hotline at (603) 516-TOYS (8697).

Thank you to Nicole L Sawyer, PsyD for coming in last week for our annual employee Critical Incident Training. This is the 4th year Dr. Sawyer has presented her seminar to the WBA team, and each year we walk away with more valuable skills and insight to help us be the best we can be on the sales floor, in the range, and out in our community. Dr. Sawyer is a licensed clinical psychologist and former Vice Chair of the NH Legislative Commission on PTSD & TBI. She works closely with Combat Veterans, LE, Firefighters, and EMS. She is a supporting psychologist for the NH State Police Peer Support Unit and the professional crisis intervention specialist for the Seacoast Emergency Response Team (SERT). She provides psychological assessment and evaluation for the Department of Defense, NH State Police, and several police and Fire/EMS departments across NH. Dr. Sawyer is a frequent speaker on such topics as veteran mental health care and the impact of military culture on healthcare access and engagement, as well as trauma mitigation and early crisis detection for law enforcement and Fire/EMS personnel. Dr. Sawyer is a passionate advocate for broadening civilian engagement with the military and veteran community, and for bringing emotional health and wellness into the culture of law enforcement, emergency personnel, and military service.
