New Case Alert: Whistleblower Exposes Systematic Destruction of Sacred Native American Sites by the U.S. Forest Service – including within the Trail of Tears Corridor Our client Scott Ashcraft, a 30+ year career Forest Archeologist revealed that the Forest Service in North Carolina has spent years ignoring evidence and data about systematic failures to identify Native American heritage sites before they are destroyed by development projects, logging and controlled burns. Worse - they are hiding this information from the Tribes and the public. The story has massive national implications because the flawed and outdated methodology the Forest Services uses to identify sites is applied nationwide.
