Whistleblower Aid is a non-profit, legal organization in Washington, D.C. We support individuals who, lawfully, report government and corporate law breaking. We can provide assistance to individuals in the United States or abroad who want to disclose illegal conduct, including misconduct relating to: the United States government or federal officials; securities fraud by corporate officers, investment advisors, or stock brokers; foreign governments or their representatives; local or state governments, including police and prosecutors; violations of the tax, labor, or environmental laws; sexual violence or harassment; and organized crime, human trafficking, and mass atrocities

    When President Trump purged at least 15 Inspectors General last Friday, my colleague Mark Zaid and I felt compelled to speak up.? The Inspectors General are a central pillar of post-Watergate guardrails put in place to protect against waste, fraud, abuse and corruption within the federal government. Their independent role is why whistleblowers can trust them to investigate their disclosures and keep them safe? from retaliation. President Trump attacked this system in his first term, but what happened last week is an order of magnitude more dangerous. It’s a frontal assault on accountability within the government.
