Meet Callie, our beloved CEO of Sass and office cat for an impressive 17 years! We’re excited to announce that Callie has officially received her very own Whisker company laptop! As you can see, she’s currently “studying” wildlife for Whisker. And yes, we caught her locking her screen before taking a break—even Callie takes security seriously! We’ve set up a laptop in Kiosk mode to play 24/7 YouTube videos of birds and nature, perfect for her daily entertainment. If you haven't met Callie, here's a little bit about her: she is Whisker’s most tenured employee next to Brad Baxter, our founder, who adopted her. She loves bootie pats and cream cheese on Bagel Tuesdays, and she’s always on the lookout for a chance to escape the main office and tour the building—those are her best days! ?? Team Member Spotlight ?? Meet Alexis Munck, our talented QA Intern! Before joining Whisker, Alexis spent seven years as a Family Assistant and Nanny, where they developed exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. In 2020, they started their own stained glass studio, showcasing their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. After nearly three years with us as a Product Specialist on the Customer Experience team, they have seamlessly transitioned into their role in QA with the WebDev team. At home, Alexis is a proud pet parent to their “Takeout Crew,” featuring Noodle (7, Shiba Inu), Eggroll (4.5, Brown/White Longhair Tabby), HotPot (7 months, Grey Tabby), and Hissy Elliot (Ball Python). With names inspired by food, they certainly add humor to their life! Noodle and Eggroll are the best of friends, HotPot loves to play with crafting pompoms, and Hissy Elliot has a fondness for... mice. They all share one common trait: an absolute disdain for baths! ?? As long-time Litter-Robot users, Alexis and their crew absolutely love the LR4—neither Eggroll nor HotPot has ever used a traditional litter box! To compile this year's list, TIME solicited nominations from TIME editors and correspondents around the world, and through an online application process, paying special attention to growing fields—such as health care, AI, and green energy. TIME then evaluated each contender on a number of key factors, including originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact.
