What an inspiring, heartwarming afternoon! I was thrilled to represent Interfaith Works at the WHF FOUNDATION luncheon honoring their community partners. Hearing about the work of fellow organizations working on homelessness, employment, and education in Fairfax, Arlington, and DC underscored that we are all fighting the good fight together. And it was wonderful to finally meet Doncella M Young in person! We bonded over surviving snowstorms in Rochester.
Greater Washington friends! Bridges to Independence is a local non-profit providing housing and supportive services to lead children and families in the Arlington community out of homelessness and into stable, independent futures. Bridges operates Arlington County’s largest emergency family shelter and is one of the only organizations in the community supporting children experiencing homelessness. As a board member, I've had the privilege of witnessing the community impact Bridges creates up close.
