Downtown New Orleans will receive a special makeover this Spring, as Canal Street revitalization organization Celebrate Canal Coalition prepares to launch its debut “Windows on Canal” public art series. This inaugural series, presented in partnership with Where y'Art Works, is set to transform the iconic Downtown thoroughfare by showcasing chosen businesses as vibrant outdoor galleries similar to porch floats built for Mardi Gras. Read all about this special public project and the impact it will make on the Canal Street Corridor in the weekly DDD newsletter, linked here: https://bit.ly/3XnAas6. We had a productive day in New Orleans yesterday here at Celebrate Canal! We began by walking down Canal Street and stopped by the Sheraton for a coffee, where we had the opportunity to connect with Tremaine, who’s been collaborating with us. After that, we made our way to Creole House for a meeting with some key stakeholders, followed by a conversation with the Downtown Development District at their meeting. Great discussions and progress made on several fronts. Looking forward to what’s ahead! #BusinessDevelopment #Networking #TeamWork #NewOrleans #Growth

Local Art Works for New Orleans Starting with Queen Tahj being selected as the first local artist to design the Super Bowl logo, local art is making a HUGE impact all over the City! From new murals popping up left and right and brand partnerships like NFL Origins with Jerin “JERK” Beasley to live painting on NFL Opening Day, New Orleans artists are hard at work. Let’s hear it for these talented artists who we are lucky to call New Orleanians. Spotted! Collin Ferguson, co-founder and CEO of Where y'Art Works, highlights some of the arts and culture of the city as we welcome visitors for Super Bowl LIX. ?“It's all about local art here. At our core, every New Orleanian is a creative—just look at what locals put into our costuming during Mardi Gras! From the murals scattered throughout the city to the Julia Street galleries to the Frenchmen Street art market and the lesser-known galleries on St. Claude, you can feel it bubbling up from every corner of the city." On Monday, Super Bowl Opening Night fueled by Gatorade kicked off Super Bowl week, bringing together fans, media, and players for a celebration of football and culture. Art and Culture is what makes New Orleans, New Orleans. So, we asked members from the city’s oldest and most iconic graffiti crew, Meek and Elle One of TM, who are currently celebrating their 40th anniversary to join in the festivities for Opening Night! They painted live at the Caesar's Superdome, celebrating the victors of the NFC and AFC conferences before the go head to head. Where y’Art Works was brought on to curate this dynamic live art experience that celebrates the vibrant artistic community we have in New Orleans. Don’t miss Opening Night as we showcase the city's unique blend of creativity, music, and sports, and the local artists who bring the energy of our Crescent City to life in real time. Stay tuned for the finished murals, they'll be displayed during Game Day Experience at the Caesar's Superdome on Sunday. ?? #ItsWhatWeDo #SBLIX #NewOrleans #SuperBowlLIX
