?? Renault Master tops van reliability rankings ?? The Renault Master has been named as the UK’s most reliable LCV by Warranty Solutions Group Ltd (WSG). The company said the finding was based on a sample of 1,000 LCV repair claims it paid during 2024. WSG head of commercial vehicle sales Mark Bobbins said: "For businesses that rely on LCVs – such as couriers, tradespeople, and service providers – vehicle downtime directly impacts revenue." ?? White paper on managing ageing diesel van fleets published by Fleetcheck ?? A new white paper from FleetCheck is offering fleet managers advice on dealing with ageing diesel vans. The software company says many van replacement cycles are likely to be substantially extended, because of operator resistance to EVs, and predicted shortages of and higher prices for diesel vans. Commercial fleet consultant Barrie Wilson said that two key market trends were at play – fleets not electrifying as quickly as the UK Government’s?ZEV mandate?would demand, and manufacturers being set to meet the mandate’s required production ratios by reducing diesel van production. ?? Kia announces Samsung connectivity deal for commercial vehicles ?? Kia has agreed a deal with Samsung Electronics to integrate ‘internet of things’ connectivity with its?PBV?electric LCV range. The integration of Samsung’s SmartThings Pro platform into vehicles will allow the wireless control of connected devices and technologies through a ‘plug and play’ service. Kia PBV division head Sangdae Kim said: "Kia PBVs are designed to be more than just vehicles, they are intelligent business solutions that connect seamlessly with digital ecosystems." ? Powertrain details confirmed as Kia PV5 makes full debut ? Kia has fully unveiled its new PV5 electric van. Depending on spec, the van will be available with a choice of 43.5kWh, 51.5kWh, and 71.2kWh batteries, with a range of up to 248 miles between charges, and a 10-80% battery charge possible in 30 minutes. Power comes from a 163hp electric motor.
