3 Reasons To Try An Imperfect Pilot? Implementing OKRs can be tricky—it’s hard to get teams to focus, to gain buy-in, to develop momentum. In these cases, Coach Elena Zhukova often recommends launching a quick pilot. Here’s why a down-and-dirty OKR test can be so useful: 1-An imperfect pilot forces a team to ditch its 100s of separate initiatives and instead clarify one problem to solve. 2-It helps teams get familiar with a new process without having to write the perfect OKR. For a first round, they can choose an Objective that’s important to the company but still easy to define. 3-Gives teams a quick win. Succeeding with an imperfect pilot can help the process ‘click’ sooner.

“The only constant in life is change" wrote Heraclitus. We’re with the ancient Greek philosopher on this one (see below for our latest update). If your team wants—or needs—to make a change, check out our case studies on how startups, established companies, city governments and nonprofits have all used OKRs to set and achieve big things. Or get real-world advice from our columnist who answers readers’ workplace challenges. Or find timely pieces (and videos!) on implementing OKRs, starting right now. We’d love to know what you think—share your thoughts in the comments! https://lnkd.in/dfXGUeP

This Valentine’s Day, we’re sending best wishes to all the couples out there, especially newlyweds Massimiliano Hasan (who recently posted, “As a couple, we literally have a shared set of personal OKRs ?”) and Dara Treseder (who posted “[My husband] and I set OKRs for our marriage—and it’s transformed our family.”) Join us in toasting these happy couples and all those in love using OKRs in their relationships! Congratulations!??
