Rainer Philanthropy (RaP) is a d/b/a for the Worldwide Help Alliance Team, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation in collaboration with the Rob & Noelle Rainer Nonprofit Foundation. Rainer Philanthropy (RaP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation based in the US. RaP is home to several formerly independent nonprofit projects. In the interest of effective use of resources, we have combined these projects under one roof. Our agency provides educational and advocacy services about important health issues. People living in countries around the globe use our online resources. We have 6 ongoing projects: - The Hotline Directory, see hotlinedirectory.org - HelpUnited, see helpunited.org - Discounted IT Services for Deserving Nonprofits, see what.ngo - Post Intensive Care Syndrome Education & Advocacy, see posticu.org and pics.ngo - StompOut Tobacco Campaign, see stompout.org. - **Phone Numbers, an initiative to provision 100+ numbers to deserving nonprofit agencies, see starstar.ngo. OUR NONPROFIT IS STAFFED BY VOLUNTEERS, ONLY. Because our mission requires us to investigate and critique how nonprofits receive and spend money, we believe that we are obliged to do our best to remove bias and reverse criticism. Our mission doesn't make our analysis more or less accurate, it simply reminds us of why we believe our work is important. However, having no paid staff slows down the pace of our work. We believe this trade-off to be worthwhile. THE HOTLINE DIRECTORY Our volunteers have vetted tens of thousands of hotlines, helplines and chat lines. And, they have written descriptions about each, so that people in need can easily search and find the right service on our website. HELPUNITED Because there is neither government nor industry oversight in the enormous hotline industry, we have chosen this area to investigate. Of course, callers expect to receive expert services. Do they? We don't know because there are no statistics available to the public. Presumably, this means that these statistics do not exist. Our long-term missions is to provide these missing statistics.
