In honor of #InternationalWomensDay, we're highlighting the Wharton AI & Analytics Initiative and Penn Engineering's work with Women in Data Science @ Penn. The two groups recently held two workshops on campus offering students the opportunity to explore the future of AI while learning from experts and innovators. Artemis Panagopoulou, a PhD student at Penn Engineering, offered an introduction to vision-language models during an interactive session in February, while Ritcha Gupta Ranjan, Vice President of Microsoft Office Copilot Experiences and a member of the Wharton AI & Analytics Advisory Board, led an engaging discussion on AI trends, impact, and opportunities earlier this month.

The second Wharton High School Data Science Competition with the Wharton Sports Analytics and Business Initiative and Wharton Global Youth Program is underway! Nearly 500 teams of high school students from around the globe are competing to analyze women's college basketball data to predict tournament outcomes. From Omar to India and Korea to New York, meet some of this year's teams.

Today on the University of Pennsylvania campus, we had the privilege of hosting Ritcha Gupta Ranjan, Vice President of Microsoft Office Copilot Experiences and member of the Wharton AI & Analytics Advisory Board, for an engaging discussion on AI trends, impact, and opportunities. As part of Women in Data Science @ Penn, Ritcha shared her expertise on how #AI is transforming industries, redefining innovation, and reshaping the future of work.
