Today, people enter Bannockburn Atrium and are immediately greeted by a warm, comforting space, one that reminds them of home. Located at 2275 Half Day Road, Bannockburn Atrium recently underwent a stunning revitalization, transforming it into a hospitality-inspired environment designed for office employees, restaurant patrons, and prospective tenants alike. Wright Heerema Architects partnered with Wanxiang America Real Estate Group to elevate the office building, keeping people at the heart of our purpose. Through strategic design, smart FFE selections, and minimal architectural updates, we’ve reshaped how people experience this space. Investing in design = Investing in people. High ceilings + creative lighting = the perfect match for a balanced, inviting space. With the right approach, lighting can make even the tallest rooms feel grounded: ??Lowers the perceived height ??Draws the eye to key features or a focal point ??Creates dimension ??Brings a sense of intimacy to a large space ??The Shuman (Naperville, IL) - https://lnkd.in/gPcNGEnm

“Take what you love and run with it! Early in your career, it’s all about exploring. Dive into different aspects of your field, tackle various projects, learn new things, and meet new people. Practicing architecture can mean so many things, so use that time to figure out where your skills and passions lie. That’s what worked for me, and it’s what I encourage others to do.” Scott Rubel's advice comes from a place of deep experience. We are thrilled to celebrate his 19-year journey with Wright Heerema Architects! As the firm’s Technical Director, Associate Principal, Scott’s path has been unique and inspiring. Starting out his career as a project architect, he discovered his passion for problem-solving. Scott hasn't met a design challenge that he didn't like, navigating complex code and safety regulations, and optimizing design layouts to unlock their full potential. Please join us in congratulating Scott on this major milestone! ??????

Can you tell the difference between these two images? Few things are as satisfying as watching a rendering evolve into reality, from concept to completion. Take a look at the 500 W. Monroe lobby transformation here: https://lnkd.in/g7Q6euU5 Top: professional photography, Bottom: photo-realistic rendering ?? Photographer: Christopher Barrett

No carving, no problem! Representing Team WHA, Sally Zuraikat, Christian Reeser, and Alex Dakas participated in this year’s Marquette Building pumpkin decorating contest ??. Drawing inspiration from the historic building’s mosaic lobby art and the materials in our office’s library, the trio took a resourceful approach to pumpkin decorating. Our teammates had a gourd time competing. Congratulations to the 15 other building tenants who competed alongside us!
