We are excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Millcraft as our first Distributor! With more than 100 years of experience in distribution, they understand exactly what you need to package and brand your craft beverage effectively. Whale Pod will join their extensive inventory of beverage packaging products like cans, handles and carriers, labels, sleeves, cartons and trays, and even chemicals, cleaners, tape, and equipment. You can now order Whale Pods along with these other products, making Millcraft a one stop shop for all of your beverage packaging needs. ??New Pod Alert?? 16 Pack 12oz Flex Pods are here! Like the rest of the Flex line, these budget friendly Pods feature built in protective dividers that separate each 4 pack of cans, making the packing process super quick and easy. These Flex Pods fit 12oz standard cans. They feature triple wall corrugated cardboard protection on the top, 4 pack can separators in the middle, and double wall protection on the bottom. The 16 Pack Flex-Pods perfectly fit four 4 packs of cans that are held together by PakTech holding tops, making it very easy to just place the four 4 packs in the box, sealing, and shipping. They are also made to fit cans packaged in 4 pack paperboard packaging, or just cans alone! 16 Pack 12oz Sleek and 16 Pack 16oz Flex Pods are coming soon!

Shipping beverages DTC in the winter has some unique challenges. Temperature sensitivity is often a concern, since extreme cold temps can negatively affect flavor profiles, or even freeze the liquid completely, causing expansion and damage. Even though these cold temps can be concerning when shipping, it’s actually very rare that cans or bottles freeze completely, unless they are delivered and left outdoors for a long period of time. Distro hubs and delivery trucks are normally warm enough to prevent freezing, so don’t let these cold temps scare you!
