The Women's Foundation of Colorado is at the Capitol today with our army of advocates to lobby/advocate for women. The Senate approved a resolution 23-11 to honor Women's History Month and the contributions of Colorado women in shaping history.

??????????????, Women's History Month is an annual celebration in March to recognize and honor the profound and enduring contributions women have made throughout history in every sphere of life; women have been leaders every step of the way, securing their own rights of suffrage and equal opportunity; and?
??????????????, Through their contributions to the abolitionist movement, the emancipation movement, the industrial labor movement, the civil rights movement, and especially the peace movement, women have worked to create a more fair and just society for all; and
??????????????, March 8th is International Women's Day, a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, and a call to action for advancing gender equality worldwide; and
??????????????, Women have played a critical role in shaping history, from warriors to world leaders, artists to activists, educators to entrepreneurs, and scientists to social reformers, and their stories are often untold or underrepresented;
??????????????, March 25th is Equal Pay Day, and is used to raise awareness about the ongoing gender pay gap and how the pay gap varies significantly among different communities, particularly for women of color.
??????????????, Transgender Day of Visibility, observed annually on March 31st, is an important moment to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, and to acknowledge the challenges they face in society, including in the workplace, healthcare, and in their personal lives; and
??????????????, Women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals contribute to every sector of society and deserve to have their rights and opportunities protected and enhanced regardless of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, or socio-economic background; and
