Exciting News! ?? We are thrilled to welcome our newest team members to the CHI Team: Sharada Bhukya Sharada recently joined Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist as an Application Developer II. She has a strong passion for solving complex problems and building efficient, scalable solutions. "Learning new technologies and improving existing processes keep me motivated." Sharada enjoys collaborating with teams to create impactful applications that enhance user experiences. Beyond work, she loves exploring new places, trying different cuisines, and getting lost in a good novel. Sharada is looking forward to contributing to the CHI team, learning from everyone, and making a positive impact! Jemel Whitis Jemel Whitis is from the land of the snow—Buffalo, NY. He has been married for 16 years and have four beautiful children and one crazy German Shepherd. "Family is my top priority." Jemel is application developer with eight years of experience, and he loves solving problems and playing trivia games with my family. HIs favorite food is lasagna—it takes all his problems away! Join CHI in welcoming our Spring 2025 Intern Lillie Davenport: Lillie Davenport is from Roswell, GA. She's currently a senior at Wake Forest University, where she's studying economics with minors in health, policy & administration, and bioethics, humanities & medicine. On campus, Lillie serves as chief of staff for student government and she's an active member of the business organization, AKPsi. This semester, Lillie is excited to be interning at the Center for Healthcare Innovation. After graduating in May 2025, she will be heading to Charlotte to start her career as a management consulting analyst at Accenture. We look forward to working with you this spring!

LAUNCH is the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Center for Healthcare Innovation’s annual innovation incubator, competition and accelerator program. The 3-day this year will be back in?Winston-Salem on September 4-6. This event brings together leading industry experts across the Advocate Health enterprise to not only compete for funding and personnel support on their project, but also to network and collaborate with individuals across the system. We encourage all of our applicants to have teams comprised of members from more than one market or region. THEME:?For LAUNCH 2025, CHI is seeking innovative solutions and enablement strategies related to pragmatic research or “discovery to bedside to home” around the theme of digital care navigation. The discovery/research should be focused on new care models or new/improved uses of AI, software, or device technology that improves pathways in clinical care and/or in clinical trials.?Submissions are encouraged from the Research Centers and the Service Lines. Some suggested project focus areas include: Moving Wellness in the Home” and/or “Digital Tools to Support Clinical Trials”.
