We’re proud to announce the 2024 grantees for The Supporting Act Foundation! With the backing of WeTransfer, The Supporting Act Foundation is donating €800,000 to 32 emerging artists and community-focused initiatives. This brings the total sum distributed in grants and bursaries to nearly €2 million since 2022, all given with no strings attached. The 2024 cohort were selected by an independent jury from more than 300 applications. 12 non-profit organizations will receive the Impact Grant (€50,000) and 20 emerging artists will benefit from the Creative Bursary (€10,000). Happy/relieved/proud/exhausted/chuffed to present File Requests from WeTransfer. I worked intensely with Matthew Willse for over six months to bring this to life. I'm hoping it feels simple and obvious to use on the surface—because it sure wasn't simple and obvious to design and build! Requesting and managing received files is now available to all WeTransfer subscribers. We've already seen great usage traction and received positive customer feedback ("This is awesome. Implemented so beautifully. Everyone on set is loving this idea."). This is what we're in it for—building tools that remove the hassle and help creators focus on the making.
