This past Sunday, GoodRx proudly joined the Westside Food Bank and over 400 community members at the 34th Annual Hunger Walk in Santa Monica. Together, we raised crucial awareness and funds to support families facing hunger across the Westside of Los Angeles. We’re honored to stand alongside our community partners, working together for a healthier Westside!

What a perfect day for a walk on the beach! This Sunday #bofavolunteers led by Claudia Gomez joined the 34th annual Westside Food Bank Walk for Hunger. Team CalPrivate Bank had a great time at the Westside Food Bank 34th Annual 5K Hunger Walk. I was joined by Richard Smith and Raina Hannegan as we enjoyed some amazing November sunshine in Santa Monica and raised awareness for a very important cause. Congratulations Genevieve Riutort and team for putting together such a great event. Can't wait to do it again next year. Also, shout out to Rebecca Mais, MBA, who couldn't make it out but was walking in spirit and was a big part of our team's fundraising efforts.

I recently had the privilege of volunteering at Westside Food Bank 34th Annual Hunger 5k Walk community event aimed at raising awareness about food insecurity in LA County. This free, family-friendly walk brought together individuals from all walks of life, united in our mission to support those in need. It was inspiring to see so many people come together, and I’m proud to have played a part in making a meaningful impact. Each October, the Volley-Ween volleyball tournament and costume party raises funds for local nonprofits. Presented by Santa MoniCARES, tourism supporting the community, this year’s event raised $7,500 to be split evenly with the Santa Monica College Student Fund, Westside Food Bank and The People Concern. ? Attendees served up their best Halloween looks during a friendly volleyball competition, enjoying tasty bites, live entertainment and a special appearance from Olympian Sinjin Smith and international volleyball federation champion Hagen Smith.

LA TECH WEEK by a16z wrapped up one week ago and left me feeling empowered. LA is truly a buzzing intersection of creativity, collaboration, and diverse industry representation. Below were some of my highlights: ? - Started off the week strong with a panel on High Growth Consumer Companies hosted by JPMorganChase. The two panelists, Jennifer Jirkovsky, an executive director on our FX team and Igor Lebovic, Co-CEO of Honeylove shared about localization strategies and emphasized the need to learn a market before entering and starting with regions that strategically make sense. ? - Attended VCFamilia's Awards Reception at the Milken Institute, which celebrated Latinx investors. Ashraf Hebela, CFA, our Co-Head of Technology Banking & Head of Startup Banking, provided welcome remarks and compared the importance of investing in diverse founders to diversifying one's investment portfolio which not only lessens risk but also provides broader perspectives and representation. ? - Volunteered at the Westside Food Bank coordinated by JPMorganChase where we boxed produce to go to families experiencing food insecurity in LA. This was an impactful experience and facilitated genuine conversations while bettering the community. ? - Wrapped up the week at the USC Information Sciences Institute where a panel of pioneers in the AI space shared trends and forecasts for the industry. Universities are playing a huge role in innovating the future and the panel highlighted universities' role as grounds for risk-taking and hubs for innovation. ?
