On Monday, the Redevelopment Authority and Land Bank hosted a successful breakfast event for our local and state legislators to learn more about what we do. Alongside the Industrial Development Corporation and the Economic Growth Connection, the event helped inform elected officials on how these organizations can assist the constituents of Westmoreland County. The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Westmoreland (RA) and the Westmoreland County Land Bank (LB) has taken a leadership role to help build healthy and whole communities and reposition our towns by eliminating blight and its influences throughout Westmoreland County. Our work is carried out through blight demolition, residential and commercial rehabilitation, acquisition and repurposing of vacant and tax-delinquent properties, accessible and affordable housing, training and education partnerships, historic preservation, and brownfield redevelopment. Working hand in hand with local officials and like-minded organizations, these efforts will deliver more desirable communities in which to live, work, raise a family and prosper.

Revitalizing Westmoreland 2024 will support community development efforts within the seven communities targeted for blight removal by the Westmoreland County Redevelopment Authority:?Arnold, New Kensington Jeannette, Penn Borough, Greensburg, Monessen and Vandergrift. ?
