Last week, Westminster Entrepreneurship Center (WEC) was thrilled to have three of our outstanding students represent Westminster College at the Sport Entertainment and Venues Tomorrow (SEVT) Conference hosted at the beautiful University of South Carolina! Gia Francisco, Kimberly Cora, and Katie Rose Rankin took on the exciting challenge of competing in the Case Study Competition. Their teamwork, innovation, and ability to leverage each other's strengths resulted in an impressive showing that made us incredibly proud. This competition was not just about solving complex problems but also about showcasing the entrepreneurial spirit we cultivate here at WEC! Beyond the competition, they had the opportunity to reconnect with industry veteran Murray Cohn and meet Bryson Shanklin, whose presentation was a standout of the conference. Their insights and expertise provided invaluable takeaways for our students, setting the tone for a day filled with networking and professional growth. At WEC, we believe that experiences like these are crucial for shaping the next generation of leaders in sports, entertainment, and beyond. Every conference brings fresh perspectives and opportunities for our students to expand their horizons—and SEVT2024 was no exception! Congratulations to Gia, Kimberly, and Katie Rose for representing Westminster College and WEC so well! We’re excited to see where your passion, creativity, and drive will take you next.
