WPS Superintendent Jeni Gotto, Ed.D. joined superintendents from Adams 12 and Jeffco at?the Westminster Chamber of Commerce State of the City luncheon this afternoon. During a panel discussion on education issues they answered questions about how Westminster businesses can better partner with area districts to support the needs of students and educators across the city.?Dr. Gotto told the group today’s opening of Iver C Ranum Innovation Campus is a perfect example of public/private collaboration. The Westminster Chamber of Commerce Names Jamie Chavez as President & CEO FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – The Westminster Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors announced that it has selected Jamie Chavez to be the organization’s next President & CEO. “We received over 300 applicants from more than 40 states and 5 countries,” said Parker Brown, Chairman of the Board, “Jamie’s experience working with our chamber over the past two years, and her innovative ideas for the future, really set her apart.” “I’m thrilled to embark on this journey as the President and CEO of the Westminster Chamber of Commerce! I’m eager to build upon the remarkable groundwork laid by this esteemed institution and am committed to furthering the Chamber’s impactful initiatives and fostering community growth” said Chavez. Prior to joining the Westminster Chamber of Commerce in 2021, Chavez owned and operated Toast Coffee & Wine Bar in Windsor, Colorado, and served as Senior Public Relations Specialist and Program Manager with the Wyoming Office of the Attorney General from 2011 – 2016. She currently serves as Adjunct Faculty of the Laramie County Community College, and holds degrees from Laramie Community College, The University of Wyoming, The University of Phoenix and Penn State University. “The Westminster Chamber was founded with the vision that we could create an organization that would bring together all aspects of our community – businesses, non-profits, schools and residents. Jamie has experience working in all those arenas and will be able to further our impact in the community,” said Westminster Chamber Co-Founder and Past Chairman Bryan Dais. “It has been a pleasure to work with the Westminster Chamber of Commerce over the years, and we are excited to welcome Jamie into her new position. The City and the Chamber have a proud history of collaboration and we are excited for the new ideas that Jamie will bring to our community,” said Westminster Mayor Nancy McNally. There will be a Meet & Greet event on Tuesday, December 5th, from 5:00 – 7: 00 PM at the DoubleTree Westminster, located at 8773 Yates Dr., Westminster, CO 80031.
