Respect Local Control. Provide Regional Perspective. Make a Difference.
关于我们
The purpose of WRCOG is to unify Western Riverside County so that it can speak with a collective voice on important issues that affect its members. Representatives from 18 cities, the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, and the Eastern and Western Municipal Water Districts have seats on the WRCOG Executive Committee, the group that sets policy for the organization. The Riverside County Superintendent of Schools and the Morongo Band of Mission Indians are currently ex-officio members of the Executive Committee. Together, as a joint powers agency, they take up regional matters critical to our future, from air quality to solid waste and from transportation to the environment.

Chris Gray Deputy Executive Director addressed City and Regional leaders at the California Regional Leadership Forum, addressing SB 743 and how it changed the way transportation impacts are measured, shifting the focus to Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT). WRCOG is leading a regional approach by developing VMT mitigation banks, ensuring that cities—many of which are too small to manage this alone—can address road travel impacts effectively. With 90% of Riverside County residents starting and ending their day within the county, success depends on strong partnerships with transit agencies, cities, and the county to create a sustainable, connected future.?
