The momentum continues for the Western Resource Adequacy Program. Weeks after the WRAP Resource Adequacy Participant Committee approved a revised transition plan, the Western Power Pool Board of Directors took a series of actions to move the program further along. The Board voted to approve: *Seven WRAP?business practice manuals, completing the full set of documents that detail how the program will operate; *A set of corrections to the WRAP tariff; and *The revised transition plan, which is intended to enable WRAP participants to participate in a fully binding program in 2027. https://lnkd.in/gN3dkr5d

The?Western Transmission Expansion Coalition, or WestTEC, reached a significant milestone last week when the WestTEC Steering Committee unanimously approved the project’s?Study Plan. WestTEC is a West-wide effort to develop an actionable transmission study to support the needs of the future energy grid. The Western Transmission Expansion Coalition’s study plan draft has been posted online for public comment and review. “We’ve made a real concerted effort to get every sector across the West involved,” WPP President and CEO Sarah Edmonds told Clearing Up in a recent article. The idea, she said, is that “by bringing all these people along, at the end of the day, we will have a study of high quality and with a high confidence factor.” Link to the article is in the comments.
