It's only natural to 'baby-proof' a house for a toddler. The same is true for adults, especially those with compromised mobility. This is the perfect time to ensure your home and surroundings are safe. Take this week to survey your, or your loved one's, home. Is lighting sufficient to see where they are going, especially near stairs? Are there any throw rugs and cords that could be tripping hazards? Do they need grab bars in the bathroom?
