Here's Jen's #WestValleyWellness tip for you today: "Service means to be helpful or useful to someone and helping someone else releases changes in the brain causing “feel good” chemicals to be produced. Chemicals released are serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin. Each day this week I invite you to be of service to someone. Being helpful includes smiling, holding the door, assistance with task, calling/texting a friend or even giving someone your full attention when they speak to you." We had a tremendous turnout for our surgical robotics open house! More than 100 students as well as community members, providers and colleagues were able to get a unique, firsthand experience with our incredible healthcare technology. These robotics are truly making a difference for our patients. Students from Oregon, Fruitland, Caldwell, Vallivue, College of Idaho, CWI and more stopped by to try out the robotics. Here's what one teacher had to say: "It means a lot that West Valley takes the time to support, educate and invest in the next generation of future health professionals."
