On Monday, Phillip Jimenez announced he will step down as President and CEO of our YMCA Association to?join YMCA of the USA, the national resource office for the nation’s 2,600 YMCAs, as the National Lead, CEO Engagement, Small-Mid size Y (SMY) Network. In his new role, he will be focused on building and strengthening relationships with association CEOs across the country.?It has been an honor to have him serve as the West Cook YMCA's President and CEO for the last ten years. ? In his announcement, he shared that the West Cook YMCA is stronger than ever with an exciting set of goals and initiatives, and he has every confidence in the Board and Leadership Team to advance our commitment to be a Y that works within and for our community to ensure all have access to be their best self. Rebecca Boblett, Chief Operating Officer, will serve as the interim CEO, and will be supported by Luis Lazaro, Vice President of Administrative and Business Intelligence, and Jessica Bullock, Chief Transformation Officer. Y-USA will collaborate with the West Cook YMCA Board of Directors on a nationwide search for the next CEO. ? Phillip’s last day will be November 15. He has committed to advise on as needed basis to ensure a smooth transition.?Phillip and his wife, Beatriz, will remain residents of our community and members of the West Cook YMCA. We want to thank them for their dedication throughout the past 10 years transforming the West Cook YMCA into a community integrated organization that is strengthening the foundations of the community.
