Richard R. Roe IV, MD, anesthesiologist, was recently elected president of West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital's (WCCH) medical staff at the annual general medical staff meeting. As president, Dr. Roe will work with the medical staff and team members to ensure the quality and efficiency of clinical services and performance within the hospital. In his term, Dr. Roe will serve as chairman of the Medical Executive Committee and organized general medical staff, and will attend WCCH Board of Commissioners meetings. Dr. Roe serves as medical director of WCCH's anesthesiology services in Sulphur. He is a graduate of the LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed his anesthesiology residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans. He is board-certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Louisiana Society of Anesthesiologists, and currently sits on the board of the Louisiana Society of Anesthesiologists PAC. Dr. Roe is actively involved in the community, serving on the SOWELA School of Nursing and Allied Health Advisory Committee, as well as on the Boards of the SOWELA Foundation and the WCCH Foundation.
