LINCOLN ELEMENTARY REOPENS AS APARTMENTS Superintendent Dr. Michael Smith was invited by the City of Aurora to share his remarks at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the brand-new Fox Valley Apartments, located at the former Lincoln Elementary School site. Vacant since 2009, the historic Lincoln Elementary has been transformed into a vibrant residential community. The newly renovated building now offers 14 affordable apartments, with an additional 22 apartments in a brand-new construction that shares the site. This neighborhood is home to 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units. SD129 is proud that Lincoln Elementary can continue to serve the community! #SD129

MAYORAL PROCLAMATION HONORS DR. CRAIG At Monday's ribbon cutting for the Jeff Craig Family Resource Center, City of Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin surprised Dr. Craig with a proclamation, declaring June 10th as Dr. Jeff Craig Day in the City of Aurora. Here's a short clip of the presentation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Ribbon Cutting of the Jeff Craig Family Resource Center, a student-centered care center with medical services provided by VNA Health Care. This facility offers vital services such as vaccinations, school and sports physicals, illness and injury care, and mental and behavioral health services to the students of School District 129.
