Exciting news for Westchase! Nothing Bundt Cakes has opened its doors at 10908 Westheimer Rd., bringing delicious cakes and a commitment to community support. Co-owners Lisset Sousa and Ana Cecilia Rondon, MSc are leading the way with their passion for both baking and giving back. On opening day, 20% of sales were donated to the Alief ISD Education Foundation, and every Tuesday moving forward, a portion of sales will continue to benefit this impactful organization. With flavors like red velvet, lemon, and a seasonal peppermint favorite, Nothing Bundt Cakes is the perfect place to pick up a holiday treat or find a gift for someone special. The Gessner Corridor Reconstruction project is set to bring exciting major improvements to South Gessner Road from Richmond Avenue to Buffalo Bayou. Houston Public Works is seeking community input during the engagement phase to help shape the project. Some of the options could have major impacts on business and property owners. Residents, business owners and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in an online survey and share feedback before the December 13 deadline. In Westchase District, brothers Keith and Daniel Edwards have opened the Houston office of?RobotLAB Inc., which specializes in delivering autonomous technology solutions to businesses, especially restaurants, hotels, assisted living communities and janitorial services. “We have lots of tools to help make businesses more efficient,” said Keith E., who uses his MBA to consult with businesses about where they could be more efficient. “We’re not trying to replace people,” he said. “We’re trying to eliminate repetitive motion.” They sold their first robot — a multi-purpose cleaning robot — to a yoga studio that wants to provide a superior level of clean. But Keith says they’re spending a majority of their time educating people about robotic technology and how it can make their workplace more efficient.
